Nice food, friendly staff. Must try the crabs, fat and juicy.
Good selections of seafood and shark fin soups. Alternatively, you can also choose fish maw soup which also has the similar soup base. A must try: shrimp cake, noodle with goose feet (it does not taste like it sounds), fried fish maw, and top it off with coconut jelly (more natural taste as it is not as sweet as other places). Reservation recommended for weekend dinners.
Super Yummy
Great quality food, friendly staff, short walk from asok station.Traditionally known for their shark's fin - was taught to try the soup with different condiments such as green chilli sauce, mustard and vinegar! Nice touch, the green chilli is really good! Other dishes: I liked the fried fish maw! My dad's favourite was the gooseweb noodles, it is v flavourful! Must try!
Fantastic Chinese restaurant, must try the sharksfin, fried fish maw, prawns with vermicelli, goose web with noodles
Delicious sharkfin soup!
Looks like an another neighborhood Chinese restaurant but food was so good. Shark fin soup is the must. Abalone soup rice was also good. Seems busy for dinner time and better to make reservation (available online from official website in English).
Authentic Chinese restaurant selling reasonable and pretty good shark fin. Oyster omelette is only so so. A 5 to 10 min walk from terminal 21
Always my favourite chinese resturant in bangkok. Awesome abalone braise rice and side dishes.
Very good duck feet. Shark fin so so.
Food is nice but expensive
Very good classic dishes at good prices. Regretted walking past over the years thinking it's too expensive. It's not. One of the best Oyster omelettes in town and also try their fish maw with crab meat and the braised rice dishes. Price starts from 120 baht for braised rice with crab meat. The magic is the brown sauce.
Nice shark Fin soup, Good quality and reasonable price.
Good tasting food in the Sukhumvit Asoke district, although a bit pricey
Introduced to the restaurant by a teochew friend and we tried all the delicacies like Sharksfin, Black pepper deer meat, Yam paste and bird's nest. All tasted deliciously good, except for the yam paste; which we felt was too dry and the combination with the pumpkin paste made my favourite dish lose the flavour. With all the delicacies, price was around 9000 baht for 4 pax. Getting there was pretty simple, just take the BTS to Asok station & on alighting, turn on google map and take about 5-10min walk to the destination.
Unexpected supper after massage pretty amazing and very friendly staff 👍🏻
Shark's fin isn't as good as Nam Sing's but it's got its own taste. There's really strong ginger tea here, effective for colds if you happen to be having one. They use old ginger with a pungent aroma. The fried rice isn't so great but the Hong Kong style noodle is good and there's roast pig and other Chinese dishes we didn't try. Overall a decent dining experience. Price is slightly on the steep side.
Best sharkfin good service must try
Have been looking for teochew food in Bangkok for family reunion dinner and found this nearby our hotel. Read some good review and decided to give it a try despite the name “shark fin” sound so expensive.1) food generally good2) service not bad and serving time is fast 3) food portion is reasonable 4) pricing wise is definitely not on a cheap scale but not that expensive depending what u orderedThe only drawback is the menu is quite limited-not much choice and mostly on seafood.Overall give it a three star
Yummy! Has lots of options at lots of pricepoints make reservations because it can be busy!
Taste gd, staff gd, will come back again!
Shark’s fin soup is so tasty & flavourful! Also had the goose web noodles & oyster omelette, they r so yummy! Will definitely visit again - Yum!! 😋 Will bring my son the next time round as he missed it, he loves shark fin’s soup!
Good quality and good taste, $$$, some queue.
Conveniently located at 5min walk from Terminal 21. The taste of food is above average and price too. Worth the visit for taste of Asian cuisine. However, the quality of the chinese seems not maintained from my subsequent visit.
It is incredible the level of ignorance. This is already 2020 and people are still eating shark fin even though anyone with half a brain knows how terrible the shark fin industry is. If you go to this restaurant please have some sense and do not order Shark.
Pricey but taste food. They serve fried fish maw. We didn't get to try the Sulking pig as they requires 1 day reservation.
Excellent & authentic quality thai chinese cuisine
This place never fails to serve up delicious Chinese cuisines. Even the simple stuff is done well.
Highly recommended for Shark's fin soup! Authentic taste! But the place needs to be update!
Nice food
Enjoyed a scrumptious bowl of fish maw soup, followed by a delicious goose webbed feet dish and a warm yummy bowl of braised crab rice. We ended off our meal with a super refreshing coconut jelly dessert that was rly value for money because of its large size. There was nothing we ordered which we didn’t love. A perfect meal to have after a massage!!
Ambience: traditional Chinese ambience restaurant.Food: so. Damn. Good. They have a secret green chilli sauce which you must get your hands on. The abalone porridge is great - the sauce is top notch. So flavourful. Other dishes to try are the sharks fin / fish maw. Coconut ice cream. All ingredients are very fresh. Service: very experienced, professional and warm staff. The great service helped to enhance the dining experience. Cost/Value for money: most expensive meal in Bangkok. But very worth it.
Very nice shark's fin soup. No need to go to Chinatown. Prawn rice in a pot is great. Worth the money. Don't miss it.
One of my favourite restaurants in Bangkok! Old school traditional Thai chinese restaurant serving the best comfort soups (Shark's fin or fish maw soup if you don't take shark's fin), crab tang hoon and braised abalone rice! Best part is its opened throughout the day and doesn't break for lunch.
Great food at pings! My first time going, would recommend the crab in curry, cos who doesnt love crab that has already been peeled for you. And for the more adventurous the goose feet noodle was soooo good. Will definitely be back when I go to Bangkok again.
Tasty and reasonably able shark fin soup in Thai Chinese style , a lot more choice on other seafood too , better book in advance to avoid long queue
Not cool at all! Stop killing our sharks!
good food n prx
I did not choose this restaurant for lunch, nor did my companion and I eat any of the shark fin dishes. We had shrimp and some pasta, as well as a watermelon smoothie. What we did have was excellent. It is a somewhat expensive place (relative to the standard Bangkok restaurant), so keep that in mind. Service was excellent.
Was at Chinatown for the Fin. Now i am here at Ping's, it is so much better than Chinatown. Yes...someone is right..no need to go Chinatown.
Very good Can park at opposite building
Fish maw soup is not bad but pricy. Noodles & rice dishes nothing to shout about.
One of our favourite restaurants which we must always visit when we are in Bangkok. The "Braised Gooseweb Noodles" is a must try. The flat noodles (meepok) is cooked al dente and immersed in the fantastic herbal braise sauce, which makes it exceptionally tasty. The gooseweb is tender and fragrant, braised perfectly and is always so good we order another portion of "Braised gooseweb"."Braised fish maw with crab meat" is also highly recommended. The fish maw is soft yet firm, and the soup is mouthwateringly delicious. There are also many other excellent dishes such as crab meat roll (ngoh hiang) and thai fish cake, but our stomach has limited space which we usually reserve for the "Braised Gooseweb Noodles" and "Braised Fish Maw".
Liked the oyster egg and stir fry fish maw. Goose web with noodles was great but ended being too flavourful for me to handle. Read that the crab and red curry were worth the try, but was too full to try it out. The bill turned out pretty expensive, but worth a try.
A small restaurant that is popular for their Shark's Fin soup. Staffs are friendly but the place need renovation
Very delicious Chinese food!
Really great food here. One of the best coconut jelly in the world here. Great satisfying shark fin broth.
It was quite unnecessarily expensive. Portions were good but compared to the prices taste could be way better.
Great braised goose web claypot
Recommended by a close local friend to come here to try the Thai Fried Curry Crab. The meat was superbly fresh and the sauce was yum yum. Also, I was lucky to eat the super exclusive big Shark’s Fin (I heard that they rarely have this stock) and it was MIND-BLOWING. Super long strands, crunchy and had a very nice bite to it. Not something I normally eat but something I would definitely order again. Others dishes I liked include the braised abalone rice and goose web noodles. Thumbs up for authentic Thai Chinese Food!
